How to edit a PDF
- Choose the PDF you want to edit.
- Pick Edit text and click any text on the page to change it, or pick Add text and click where you want to write.

Can I change the existing text in my PDF?
Yes. Choose Edit text and click the words you want to change. DocForge covers the old text and puts your new text in the same place, at the same size.
Will the font look the same?
DocForge reads the original font and matches its size, weight (bold), slant (italic) and style (sans-serif, serif or typewriter). Unusual or decorative fonts may look slightly different, so check the result before sending.
Can I edit Hindi text?
Yes. Hindi and other Indian scripts are saved as a sharp picture of the text, so they look right everywhere. That text can’t be selected or searched in the saved PDF; English text stays real, selectable text.
Can I change a word everywhere at once?
Yes. Use Find & replace: type the word and its replacement, and DocForge changes it on every page.
Can I edit a scanned PDF?
Scans are pictures, so there’s no text to click. Use Add text with Whiteout to cover and rewrite parts, or OCR to make the scan searchable first.
Is the old text deleted?
It’s covered, not deleted: it can’t be seen, but it can still be found by copying or searching the file. To hide private details for good, run the edited file through Compress PDF on Medium or Strong, which flattens each page into an image.
